Blockchain Conference Abu Dhabi 2017 Results

The main FinTech event in the Middle East region Blockchain Conference Abu Dhabi took place at Marriott Downtown Abu Dhabi on December 7. The Conference was multinational featuring representatives from 12 countries including UAE, Canada, USA, Singapore, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, China, etc. Top experts shared their views on the future of the blockchain technology.

Last year this event made history in being the new quality platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and success stories in the sphere of blockchain in the modern Middle Eastern world.

At this year’s Blockchain conference, the companies showed their unique projects and ways to improve the business world with the help of their effective solutions. We brought together representatives of the blockchain industry from around the world to talk about their successful experience of using the technology in the most relevant areas of the region.

Key Topics of the BConference Abu Dhabi 2017

The agenda of the event consisted of full-day conference involving keynotes and panel discussions, exhibition area showcasing products, networking breaks, dinner with guests and speakers.

The Conference was opened by the Founder of Feelogical Solutions Muhammad Salman Anjum. During the welcoming speech, he outlined the priority areas for the modernization of the UAE economy laying special emphasis on the blockchain technology.

The IBM Senior Managing Consultant and blockchain evangelist Saqr Ereiqat opened the first section of the Conference. Saqr began his presentation with this short demonstration of the blockchain penetration into the real world. The Chief Financial Officer at Abu Dhabi Finance Ghulam Raza continued the Conference with an in-depth presentation devoted to the application of blockchain technology and the Robotic Process Automation and showed RPA and Blockchain cases. Ghulam’s presentation was followed by a speech of the Chairman and CEO at Nano Global Corporation Steve Papermaster. His report was devoted to Crypto Currency, Blockchain and Life Data – Solving the Greatest Health Challenges in the World. The first section was completed by the CEO & Founder of PassageX Alex Linebrink, who covered the topic of Fighting Fraud and Increasing Transparency with Blockchain Technology.

The second section started after a short break. It was opened by the Advisor on the business development at Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Henri Bergstrom with a presentation on the DLT and the Securities Market. The CSO and Board Member at Wawllet Yoram Golandsky spoke net telling about the Considerations for Enterprise DLT. The CEO & Founder of DreamTeam Alexander Kokhanovskyy continued the Conference with a presentation on Blockchain and Smart contracts as part of the Esports and Gaming ecosystems.

After the lunchtime, the Co-Founder of Monetha Justas Pikelis continued the Conference with a presentation on The Blockchain Industry and the Impact of Mobile Payments in E-commerce. Shariq Hashmi (LISK Ecosystem, UAE Ambassador) delved into the topic of How ICOs / ITOs are affecting the Blockchain Industry.

A discussion panel “Are ICO’s really a problem?” continued the Conference program. It featured Shariq Hashmi, Prabhakar Reddy, Justas Pikelis. The main questions from the audience were devoted to the ICO and IPO difference, ICO regulation and marketing questions.

The General Counsel & CCO at Anatha Technologies Ian Luthringer continued the Conference with a presentation on the topic of Making US Regulations Work for Your ICO. This was followed by the Legal and Regulation Discussion Panel elaborating on ICO Law and Compliance, is Your ICO Subject To Regulation? It featured Suzanna Kalendzhian, Ian Luthringer, Irina Heaver, and Marc Norman.

After the second Discussion Panel, the Co-founder of CarFix Vladimir Lupenko delivered a report on Blockchain in Automotive Industry. The report of the CEO at SunExchange Abraham Cambridge devoted to the topic of Future Energy: Power in Solar and Talal Tabbaa – Co-Founder of Jibrel Network became a concluding chord of the Conference.
